MLSOK Offers Brokers Direct Feed to Zillow Group Websites
On February 15, 2017 Zillow Group (ZG) announced that they will stop agent manual upload of listings on May 1, 2017. It’s created quite a buzz in the industry. It created quite a buzz among MLSOK subscribers, as well.
MLSOK now provides access to Zillow Group websites for its brokers who choose to opt-in to the feed. That means, in addition to the syndication channels available through ListHub, brokers also have access to ZG websites such as Zillow.com and Trulia.com.
Harnessing the Power of Your Data
Listings belong to the broker. It is the broker who designates which syndicating sites will display his or her listings. Listings will not automatically feed to any syndicating site without the broker actively choosing to do so, whether it’s through ListHub or contacting MLSOK to OPT-IN to the ZG direct feed. The broker can opt-out at any time.
- Agents: Speak with your broker to determine if your office has chosen to OPT-IN to the ZG direct feed.
- Brokers: To choose to send your office’s listings to ZG websites, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to OPT-IN.
Corporate franchises may already handle syndication for brokerages. This direct feed will not overwrite that corporate feed, but will augment or enhance any missing information on the listing. The direct feed will not adversely affect any Premier Agent subscriptions. There is no cost to OPT-IN to the feed.
The feed will be live on Tuesday March 7, 2017.
